AB33 has a tattoo of a mountain range where she spent a lot of time as a child. Some of AB33’s fondest memories of her family include going to find peace in the mountains. When her parents decided to end their marriage, AB33 and her two siblings all got tattoos of the mountain range, which is called ‘the three sisters.’
AB33 explained that they got the tattoos done the first Christmas after the divorce when they were all feeling a bit fractured and broken. “It was like we were trying to get our sea-legs in our new realities, so it was a really important time to feel united and strong.”
The tattoo serves “as a reminder to us that we are lucky to have one another. We are lucky for our connection to nature; to the healing that comes from the mountains or the water.”
