Dodebob: He is always in my heart, I can see him there

Dodebob is a 63-year-old woman from British Columbia whose brother passed away suddenly in 2017. She described struggling immensely for two years after his passing. One day she decided she needed something to keep him with her and so got the tattoo. “Now he is always in my heart, I can see him there.” She explained she cried a lot in those first two years of mourning the loss. She wanted the roses to have tear drops to represent that time in her life. The tattoo is over her heart so she can always see her brother and he is always close. Now when she looks back, she says she smiles at her tattoo. She feels more content with the process of healing.
