Lori K. is a woman in her 50s from Brantford, Ontario. Lori K. was a flight attendant for 17 years and grew up in an “airline family.” Her father was a pilot and passed away suddenly three years ago. Her tattoo is of an airplane in flight, with the contrails making a heart and the initials WGK, located on the right side of her foot. She explained that the tattoo was in honour of her father and the initials are his. The airplane and the heart represent the idea of “alive for travel.” While she chose her foot because of the subtlety of the location, she noted that the story doesn’t change based on the audience.
